See at Green Man Gaming Castlevania Dominus Collection includes three side-scrolling games that were originally released on the Nintendo DS: Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. The ports bring all those games to a single screen, as opposed to the DS’s dual screens for which they were designed, which means all three have been slightly redesigned to compensate. Map and inventory screens now appear on the right side, as opposed to the bottom screen on DS. Another notable change is Dawn of Sorrow’s stylus drawing mechanic has been been adapted into quick-time events.In addition to the three Nintendo DS Castlevanias, the Dominus Collection also includes a remaster of the first Castlevania arcade game, Haunted Castle. The port features a reworked version of the arcade game, as well as the option to play it in its original format.Dominus Collection also adds a few quality-of-life improvements to all the games, like rewind features and save states.This is actually the third Castlevania game collection as Konami has released old entries in the series that were only available on dated hardware. It also packs in the ebook History of Castlevania – Book of the Crescent Moon, which documents the franchise’s development history.The Dominus Collection is slated to get a physical release with multiple cover options from Limited Run Games, and preorders will be available in September.
